Is the invoice generator really free, with no account?

Yes. There is no signup, no email gate, and no limit on how many invoices you create. Everything runs in your browser.

Where is my data stored when I use the generator?

Only in your own browser, via localStorage. We never see it, and it is never sent to a server. Clearing your browser data for this site removes it.

Does the PDF have a watermark or "made with" footer?

No. The invoice is yours to send as-is.

How is this different from the North Invoice app?

The generator is a single free tool for a one-off invoice. The app tracks invoices, expenses, mileage, and maps everything to your T2125 or Schedule C over the year.
